I expected it to help keep the holes consistent, and it does exactly that. The depth comes out the same each time, so everything looks nice and even without much fuss...

I used this in an area full of roots and little rocks, and I was expecting to get annoyed fast. It still dug through well. I did have to slow down a few times, which tested my patience a bit, but it was still way easier than messing around with a shovel.

I picked up the Power Planter auger because apparently my shoulders and lower back were not thrilled with me digging holes by hand like it was 1890. I used it to plant a bunch of bulbs and a few small plants, and yeah, it made the whole job way easier. It still takes a little effort, because of course nothing can just be completely effortless, but compared to using a shovel, it’s not even close. i’m a little annoyed I didn’t buy one sooner.

I’ve had this for over a year now, i didn’t expect much from it at first. But it’s been through hard clay, roots, and plenty of rough use, and somehow it’s still working great with no bending or issues. Not bad at all for something I figured might give up by now.

I went with Power Planter mainly because it’s made in the USA. I like knowing where my tools are coming from, i’d rather buy something solid than roll the dice on some cheap random option online.

Had to do a return and it was easy. The warranty seems solid too, which is definitley nice for peace of mind.
